The 10.1 was a check with no load and not having any load on the system for 15 minutes. I was also checking with a voltmeter on the terminals. The battery was starting to discharge rather quickly when being used during the course of the day. The battery charger failed and I managed to get a nice new experiment, with a 4 year old battery. I still don't trust the new battery charger and test the voltage before every outing.
Im not gonna worry about it CP the Motor still cranks plenty good at 9.9 volts at the unit and still has 12.2 at the end of the day,as read on voltmeter, and the HDS does not shut off.
Dunno, but I have a 12v TM with the battery within 2' of it. I have 8 gauge wire feeding the TM. I can run a fully charged battery down in about 6 hours of on and off usage. I've never ran one down completely, but have experienced very slow steering and very low prop movement when this happens. Is why I now have an extra fully charged marine battery on board with a set of jumper cables to back up my TM or my main battery.
