Default I'm having trouble with the steering on my TM......

it is a Minnkota Power Drive V2. We put in today and when we got to our fishing spot I dropped the TM and we had speed control but no steering control. I had to turn the TM manual to keep us going in the direction we wanted. After a couple of hours the steering started working in one direction. We could turn to the right but still couldn't turn to the left. A couple of weeks ago we were on a weekend long fishing trip and got caught in a couple of bad thunderstorms. This is the first time I have had it out since then and my question is this: Is it possible that water got on the inside of it and is causing the malfunction and it just needs to get dried out or is the foot controller going bad? I am taking my family on a fishing and camping trip the second weekend of June with some friends and really need to get it working before then. Thanks in advance for any advice you guys can over.

Sounds to me like you need to take it to a repair center and not risk your next fishing trip.

Hopefully it's still under warranty. Mine was, has been replaced TWICE! Dealer said this is very common with the V2 foot control.
