so i went to caruthersville, mo today pickup some aluminum sheets to redo my front and rear decks ( tired of buying high dollar marine plywood and carpet). so after buying that i had to stop in at grizzly jigs cant go to caruthersville and not go there. i was looking at trolling motors and their mechanic seen me and i told him what i wanted and showed me a used one he was going through to resale. was the exact minn kota pd v2 70lb with copilot and a 18' corded foot control ( got this for $450 and it still has a 1 year warranty). also bought a hb 798ci si hd combo had been looking at lowrance hds7 but got this instead. now time to install and get to using it. any tips on how to use the ff would be appreciated.Hands Clapping

congrats. Make sure you sign up for HB's special program, so you get the 2 year warranty on that 7 series. It's great that HB is matching the HDS warranty.
i was hoping i didnt go wrong with buying the hb over the hds. the mechanic there was the telling me about the and the features of both, and said they're the same other than the name. and hb came out with the si before lowrance dont know this personally so dont bite my head off if im wrong. and thanks guys

Get you a good SD card, and download Humviewer and have fun. Have been looking at recordings I've made of The bottom of J Percy Priest lake in Nashville. It's much better looking at it on a bigger screen. Also be sure to have the transducer straight to the center line of the boat or your gps way points will be off. I also had to adjust the map offset so I wasn't on dry land.
