Apologize if this is redundant....

I read in another thread where due to interference, one should have their FF using a different source of power separate from the trolling motor. I use my boat in a trolling motor based lake (no gas) and have my transducer clamped to my trolling motor. Both run from the same battery and I do not see the interference many have stated.

I've an extra battery, so running separately isn't an issue if needed. Since I do not experience the interference, what do I have to gain/lose from my current setup?
