I had to send my fish-elite 500c back for repair and it couldn't be fixed so I upgraded to the HDS5. They told me that I could get an adapter so my old transducer would work. My question is : Should I get a new transducer for the hds unit or would it make any difference if I just bought the adapter plug? Thanks
