Default Navionics for lowrance hds 5

Based on experience, which NAVIONICS chip would you buy for a Lowrance HDS 5 Unit. My LEI chip does a great job but it will not show the channel on some lakes in Georgia. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

From my limited experience, I have a premium, it is the best option. I did quite a bit of research before I made my purchase, and the platinum just wasn't worth the extra money. I base that statement on what people reported from various forums. I was able to get a 2010 premium for $90 over at BBC electronics forum. As I am a thrifty, (aka tight ass)... Always looking to save a buck.:o

I think if you buy new their around $150.

I'd second the premium chip. I have the HDS-7 with Insight USA and it wasn't cutting the mustard on the SC lakes I fish and the Navionics blows it away. Cabela's had them on sale last month, so you may want to look there.
