Hummingbird program - Windows 7
Is the new program windows 7 compatible? Maybe that is the problem I am having. Used to have Vista.

Are you able to record a track using SI, transfer to chip and then transfer to your computer? Then using Hummingbird PC to locate and assign waypoints, then transfer back to your 997?

Yes, on windows 7 to my 798, but should work the same.

Are you trying to record sonar or make a trackplot (track)?
If sonar recording: are you trying to view this using HumminbirdPC? If so, HummPC will not play any video. You will either have to do that on your unit or use a sonar viewing program such as HummViewer (this is not a Humminbird product).
