    Default Help with fishfinder

I recently got a eagle fishmark 320 and when i hooked it up on my boat the screen wouldnt come on. I know it works because we took it straight off my uncles boat. I can hear it beeping when i press the buttons but no screen. Does it have to be in water?

I'm pretty sure there should be something showing on the screen even if not in the water. Go through the menus and find demo mode and see if you get anything showing. I guess with pretty much anything electrical, it can be working just fine 1 moment and not at all the next!

With the unit on, Hit Menu, Menu, Down Arrow, Enter, Left Arrow, Enter. Should reset to factory defaults.

I had this problem with a Garmin after using it 4 or 5 times. It turned out that the back light was out, and since I had bought it at the end of summer and didn't try it again untill the next spring. Guess what? Garmin wouldn't warranty it. Good color unit that doesn't work.

Well, I now have a Humminbird 596 HD di on the way that will get much more use since my health is better. Hands Clapping

Disconnect the unit from its mount and check the voltage at the mount. Sometimes when the voltage drops below a certain point the FishFinder will quit working. What else is hooked to that circuit? You might not have enough amperage reaching the unit.
