997 has losr waypoints and maps

I have a 997 side view with transducer an antenna in the front and back. The other day I found a creek on a lake I don't normally fish so I put my unit on the conso mad a few waypoints moved it back to the bow and my waypoints were gone. As I look more al my waypoints are gone and maps. Called hummingbird and was just told to send the unit back with about $300.00 and they would look at it. Has anyone every had this happen or know someone around Nashville that works on the unit. I hate to send it off right now.

If your 997 is loosing waypoints that you had previously set than something must be affecting the memory inside the unit (unless they were deleted by someone). I would keep an eye on this and send it in if it continues.

Except for the factory; there are no authorized repair centers within the United States.
