Nice. I'd love to have that motor hookup for my Yammy.

I can select the 2d transducer (us2 at front or Low 200khz at back). I have LCG4000 GPS input to all 3 units via NMEA2000 and also my engine monitor via NMEA2000. I have all gauges except water pressure and fuel level. That requires additional adapters.
If you have Etek or Newer Merc, I believe you get all the gauges. Not sure though.
I got some help from Lowrance guys as the manual didn't cover the setup I have very well. Hats off to Todd Driscoll for his help.
I really like being able to select which transducer I wish to use. Saves me from moving stuff around.
I didn't install the livewell temp sender unit. Have to drill a hole in the livewell to get the sender inside livewell. My good drill is at the lake.Doh
I am getting it figured out. Good time to do this while I am baby sitting. ha

Tom, sounds like Lowrance needs to sign you up as an official "Beta tester". You're obviously thinking of things to try they have not. Now, be sure to let me know when you get your laptop hooked up to the HDS-8. I want some of that!

looks nice good job
fishing from the couch in front of the tv doesnt count
NMEA0183 Com1 and Com2. It outputs/inputs nema strings (tx/rx). I can hook it up to my laptop and run moving maps on Oziexplorer. That is all I know. I've already done this before. I could hook in my garmin up here and use it as gps for the HDS, but the HDS gps is goooood with the LCG4000.

CP, I'm pretty sure you said you have an HDS-8---what are the other 2 units? Z21.
