That is amazing......Thought I was the only one with that kind of luck.
The yellow cord from the LSS-1 is supposed to be switched. The switch should have power run to it. In other words, when it's connected correctly, as per manual, you should have to turn on a switch for the power to reach the LSS-1 unit. If done correctly, your HDS-7 will start showing the down and side views. If not wired correctly, your HDS 7 will show...."No Source". Hope this helps, have your husband go back and check his work according to the manual. I installed my new HDS 8 and LSS-1 myself and I ain't no brain surgeon, but passed all my classes in school with checkmarks in the areas of..."Follows directions well".

I'd like to have someone do a quick study and see how long it takes, at random intervals for each company to answer. It seems like Crappiegirl1 was on the phone for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time trying to get through to HB and after several calls, you know.Quote:

UPDATE: while waiting on the structure scan to be replaced, i crappie fished lake carlton this morning with the lowrance hds 7 in down mode ---very seldom get an arch or symbol (symbol) turned on) played with sensitivity, ping and all the rest----eagle up front showing fish and im catching them ----1500 dollar unit not showing fish--- on top of that the top 1 foot is down as if i have keel offset at 1 foot which i do not-----mmmmm (afraid to even mention it to my husband) OMG
