Default Lowrance Mark5X DSI advanced mode?

Is there a way to get into advanced mode with this model? Or is it only on the Elite series DSI? It says in the manual to restore defaults and then answer "Yes" to the advanced user in the setup wizard, but I don't get this prompt when I restore defaults. Overall I am pleased with what this unit can do, but I would like to play around with some of the settings if possible.

    Thanks

I know Jason with Lowrance hangs out on here...this should be an easy one.

Keep looking through your settings menu. Even the original Ifinders had an advance mode. Is it possible your unit is already in advance mode? Do you see any mode change in the menu? Most Lowrance units I've owned will require you to push MENU,MENU. I do not think the Elite would have an advance mode while the non color unit did not. Hopefull Jason can check this out for you.

As I recall, I think advanced mode is on the elite unit, and gold. The mark should have contrast, and I believe it has the setting for Frequency.

I have this unit as well so far I'm happy with it. I think what mduncan62 stated is correct I haven't really played with mine a whole lot.I maybe wrong but I don't think there is whole lot that can be done with this model.
