I run a 798ci up front of my boat. When I first started out had a 785c2i up there too. I wanted to use one to follow creek channels and one for SI. The never did play well together and had to seperate them. I tried software updates but the fight was still on. Good luck.
did that and no single views not hidden dont see at all
that problem solved with the views, but no fish symbols although turned on, depth readings all over the place although ive done the update, will continue in a new thread the problems that i am having and spending evry day on the phone with customer support. i am over it----taking it back

Same thing with mine, updated to new software version, problem solved.
Crappiegirl check your unit and write down the software version number then check humminbird website and verify they are the same. If not redownload on a formatted sd card and try again. I have 2 997's and they have been easy to update and run my buddy has a 898 if need be pm me and ill try and help u figure it out. Check the "faq's" on humminbird also for similiar issues from others.Hope this helps

i have registered my unit, the software download is the appropriate one, i have been to all the forums to now avail.

Also make sure that you don’t have another sonar unit on at the same time as well. In fact it may just be easier to reset all of the menus back to the factory default menu settings by using the Restore Defaults menu which is under the Setup menus.
did that before i took it back to bps
