Dual 898s...do i need to buy 2 lake map cards or not?

I am installing 2 898s on my boat. I am setting up the interlink but what I want to know will i need to buy a card for each of the fish finders or will the interlink save me from doing that.

interlink doesn't share maps.

i only bought one card for my pair of 898's but it is a pain to move the card from unit to unit. I will eventually buy another, it just hasn't worked its way to the top of my priority list yet.

No its not cabelas taking that bite, its Navionics maker of the card they will not let it be shared, they gotta eat tooRofl

Why 2 898's? Why not a 858 up front and 898 at the console. Also don't get the interlink, get the new ethernet cable and do the software update.
The interlink is limited on waypoint sharing, but the new cable is like linking two computers together.

Ethernet cable is out, but the networking function of the software isn't out yet.

I would think that the ethernet software upgrade is coming very soon as the hardware is already being sold...
