    Default HDS Crappie under Dock

New to the board. Most of my fishing is for stripers except for the next several weeks. Did get a good pick on the Structure Scan of a school of crappie under a deep dock a few days ago. First chance I have gotten to see how well I could see the fish up under the docks. I imagine others have posted similar pics . Saved me so much time I didn't get to fish all the schools I saw on the graph going down a line of docks.

The docks I have been focusing on have at least 30 ft of water but some found them a little shallower today.

Am I reading that right? If so it looks like the crappie were considerably back underneath that dock, or at least off to the side. I can't really tell how big your dock is from the picture, just that the school is offset 10-15 feet from the pilings. Could you elaborate on their relation to it a little?

I was not in the boat with him but we have been running down the dock lines about three feet out from the front face of the docks. Most of the fish I have been seeing were fairly close to the front of the dock but I believe in the photo above they were farther back in the dock.

Those are definately some great shots...

I notice that no shadows are shown to the left of the "school of crappie" which would indicate to me that the school is higher in the water column closer to the boat...(and the shadows of the fish are off to the left of the screen image....

How would someone else interpret this...??
