    Default H.B. 997 GPS Help.

Well I bought the Navionics Platinum Card an cannot get the underwater,or 3D to work. On there web page they show all these pictures underwater were you can see creek channels, ledges, points, and all that good stuff. The only thing I get is contour lines just like every other Hotmaps card I've seen. I've checked all settings an cannot figure it out. Anybody else had this problem? thanks 4 any help

    LY34,
I haven’t used the 3D mapping feature from the Navionics Platinum map cards so let me see if I can get someone else to help you here.
By the way; what version of software are you running in your 997 unit?

You need to be in the "Bird's Eye GPS View" and will have to zoom in or out to get the 3D Data to display.

Thanks for help guys.. I found out from Navionics Customer Service there is a humminbird trouble shooting page which they e-mailed me.(service was great!) One of my big probs. was that I have just been looking at the GPS in my driveway. You must be on the water in order for Platinum features to work. If not on the water you must put unit in Simulator mode. Even doing that it won't work sometimes??? Anyways headed to the lake Friday an taking my trouble shooting page with me. I think I've got it figured out though. Wish me luck.....lol
