Default Lowrance Structure Scan Transducer on Trolling Motor

Just wondering how this would work? When you move trolling motor to left or right could Side Scan show complete front to back of boat? After I saw the HDS7 Structure Scan in action I think this is the one I will purchase. Does anyone else have this unit with the transducer on the trolling motor and how well has it performed, Thanks

I have ran this way before. When you turn the trolling motor, the image displayed will turn also, but you won't really get a readable 360 degree image. The best reading will come when you have the trolling motor running straight and scan parallel to the direction you are moving. Down scan will be a nice addition also.

When you are running in a straight line, the performance will be the same as having it on the console.

I do. I mark a waypoint, then go check it out with down scan.
