Second time out with the New unit ,In Switch Fire mode 3/5 ft water long lineing for Crappie ,unit shows some fish below the bottom , like the bottom is 3.5 To 4 ft deep , its showing fish at 4 To 4.5 deep ??? any cure for this ??

Need to use clear mode in less than 15' or so as a general rule.

The only “cure” would be to turn the Fish ID Symbols off. The unit is receiving a sonar return that meets the criteria for a Fish ID Symbol to be shown at that distance and so shows it as a fish.

I never use fish id...

Too many variables that make a unit "think" it sees a fish....even a leaf....

IMO "Fish id" (which is basically a processor function processing data received from the xducer) takes up valuable processor usage that can slow the other features down...

Find the structure...use your knowledge of where the fish should be in relation to that structure...

Turn "Fish id " off...
