I logged onto BBC as mfbab, sounds like they are taking some notice over there finally. You know what else is funny? Look at the HB wishlist on that board, the very first post on that thread is a big picture of the donut, dated January/2010 :) Heres the link - BBC Boards: Wish List - Humminbird Features.
Also, there was another thread on the BBC board yesterday where a guy was just asking what it (Donut) was in the first place, that's why I posted that picture of it in this thread. That thread on BBC got deleted for some reaon, I don't know why.
Didn't know what you weer talking about at first. That IS a major pain in the rear end when slow trolling. You really don't know what direction you're moving with that donut up there.
I don't slow troll much... but if I did the Donut would be a big problem. I do single pole a good bit and it is pretty hard determining where the brush piles are. Basically I have to throw out a bouy to mark the spot. Sure would be nice not to have to do that...

I threw up a link to this thread on the Main Board and the MS board today, DD and DG are MS guys. I think there are still a lot of guys on Crappie.com who aren't aware of this thread yet.

HB has been aware of this issue for a long time. So far, the donut has been ignored. I believe I made some complaints in 2007 on this problem. Upset a few people here. Called me whiner. haha
