I basically followed PanMan's pictures but I did not take the Ipilot off. I cut the transducer cable, used a wire and slid it down the steering housing in the shaft slot. Then I taped the cut wire and pulled it thru the housing. I routed the transducer cable along the shaft crevice and glued it with clear silicon. Taped the shaft temporarily to keep the cable in place while the silicone dries (like PanMan's example). I then routed the cable, spliced the wires and then tied up the loose wires. Everything is now working (that we could test).

Got rid of about 6 foot of excess cable too. I don't like loose coils of wires laying around. Coiled wires are nothing but an antenna looking for some noise.

This is crappiehunter's Triton 176. I have caught a few fish out of it. He shouldn't have left them in the live well. haha

Also got to add that I converted a 24v cigarette lighter system to a 12v cigarette lighter system.:rolleyes::rolleyes: Todd wondered why his aerator run so fast. :D:D
