Default Moving transducer from rear to front

Im putting the new lowrance elite 5 dsi combo unit on the console shooting off back of boat. So now i'm Moving the old 135 lowrance to trolling motor. Is this possible to use this transducer or should I buy another. Also do you think this lowrance 135 a good enough unit for up front or go ahead and upgrade to a new one. Please give your input.

Not sure how it mounts, my transducer has a bracket which can be hooked to a stainless steel hose clamp.

You don't need a mount, just use a clamp. Bend the mounting bracket slightly to conform to the motor housing. Takes about 2 minutes and costs about a dollar for the clamp.

Good thinking CatFan. When I finally manage to buy an SI for the back, I'll use this method to move my x17m to the front.

How did you run the cable once you leave the head of the trolling motor? I've do it before but can't remember what I did.
