I have a few questions about batteries
1. when running 24 volts for a trolling motor, do the batteries need to be the same type, brand, grp number etc?

2. what is the correct way to wire the 2 batteries for a 24 volt trolling motor? i know its something like positive to negative, then the open posts go to the trolling motor or something like that, but im not sure since im new to boating.
