    Default HB and voltage regulation

Hey guys, I'm about to get a new fish finder for the boat and I was wondering what would be recommended to regulate the voltage coming into the unit. My old finder would say 'voltage high' when I was at WOT, and I have read that a regulator is needed to keep the voltage at the proper level.

Any ideas or suggestions as to which one to get?

    Thanks,
    Skidz

2000 Johnson 25 hp. It doesn't have a regulator built in.

I would check with your local marine dealer for what they recommend. Just make sure that the amperage rating is higher than what the current draw of the unit is.
