Trolling Motor Transducer Mounts

Guys,
I had bought a transducer mount from Humminbird and used it for a few months, I put in on the new V2 power drive and it broke when I tighten it up. I just want to know what you folks are using? Also what about the Raptor cap for the fish finder, where can I find one for a 788c? Cabelas has some but none for the 700 series.

I cut a small block of wood to place between the 'ducer and motor so it could be tightened up with a hose clamp around it all. Works great and dont ever have to fool with it. I'm running an Eagle fishfinder on the front of the boat.
