I am wanting to request an upgrade to a remote control tm, thinking the ipilot, but maybe the co-pilot -undecided. I don't know what the difference is between these two trolling motors. What do they do, which do you like, and why? I also want a quick detach mount for whatever I get. Is there such a thing for these trolling motors?

The Terrova is the way to go. It has the 4" motor, a better deployment mount, you CAN use the foot pedal and the co-pilot/i-pilot at the same time and you can get a quick release for it. It's a strong motor and a nice package. If you need a transducer at the bottom of it then go ahead and spring for the US2. It's a much cleaner install than having a wire dangling around the outside of the shaft.

talltimber I use the terrova, us2 and absoulity love it, slow troll, long line troll, remote. spot lock, trees, it works in all conditions, I recomend them 100 per cent.
I have the V2 with us2 and I pilot. You loose the foot pedal when Ipilot is installed. I built my own circuit to get around this no foot pedal problem. I like billbobs Terrova.

I bought the 80# terrova last summer, I have copilot & autopilot on mine. I would have prefered the ipilot but I got this motor from a man who bought it and then
decided to sell his boat before he ever installed it. So far I really like it.
I have the I-pilot on the V2 and havent missed the foot petal at all. I spider rig and longline troll (love the cruise control). Also slow troll for stripers.
i believe u will like either one,
