Default LSS-1 Mounting On A Aluminum Boat?

Is there any specific location on the transom to mount it?

IMO about 4-6 inches away from the motor. Do you have a Jackplate your boat? You most likely will have to trim up little when your moving at slower speeds, because the lower unit will block some of the signal to get to other side.

Go to the Humminbird Side Imaging yahoo groups. They have pictures of the HB SI transom mount. You should get some ideas there.
