Default Installing CanePoles Ipilot by Pass setup (or whatever the real name is)

I am including some pictures of the install of the Ipilot setup CanePole builds that I was able to install myself by using his included instructions. You must first take off the sides of your trolling motor so that you can access the black cover that sits in the middle of the mount that has all your connections you will be needing to access. After I got it all in my tiny little brain, the entire install probably took me less that 25 minutes even with the splicing, but now I have not put the TM back together yet but I did test it and it worked :D CanePole called me and gave me a walk through and that really helped, I am really glad I went ahead and did this. I dont know how much help this will be to anyone thinking of installing this but I do want to tell you that it is not as hard as you might assume, I really is pretty straight forward particulary with Mr Tom's directions :D

Ok Cane Pole this is probably a stupid question. Why are you bypassing the I pilot? I'm not trying to be a smart butt I was just wondering.

Not CanePole but will tell you what I know, the reason is now with the CP setup I can have both foot pedal and remote for the trolling motor, so if Im out and the battery goes dead on my remote and I dont have a back up, the I can just connect my foot control and flip the switch and be back in business, some of the other trolling motors have this feature from the factory if I remember correctly

i had mine installed for a while and it works great, wouldn`t have bought the ipilot if it wasnt for canepoles maximizer, because if ur remote goes out while on the water u can flip the switch and use footpedal and still fish

    CanePole,

Would you mind emailing me your instructions? I have a V2 Autopilot/55lb 12v, I plan on getting an ipilot in the next few weeks. You will basically be saving me the cost of a Terrova
    Thanks,
    Rob
