Fish finder advise, help please!

I want to upgrade the electronics on the front of my boat. I have a motorguide wireless tm with a built in transducer. I would like to know what is the nicest unit that I can run through the built in transducer. the fishfinder I have now is a lowrance x47, I think, with temp built in to the transducer. I want to upgrade to a nice, easy to use color graph but Im not sure how powerful I can go with what I have???

You probably have the 6-in adapter now, but if you buy the 7-pin adapter you can use virtually any current Lowrance unit with it, or even the last couple of generations if you are looking for a used unit.
