Default S.I. Transducer on Ranger? Help

where do i need to mount my H.B. side image transducer on a 96 ranger 692 fisherman? the transom on this boat has an extension where the motor is attached. I think alot of older rangers have the same transom? If anyone has a similar boat with a working side image transducer, please post or send me pictures. thanks for any help....

If you are talking about the built-in set back, the bottom of that step is a good place to mount. The best way to go is on the jackplate if you have one.

Here is another good place for installation information on the Humminbird Si units:
sideimaging : UnOfficial Humminbird Side Imaging Group
You will have to join that site to see the installation photos.

Some use a custom made bracket from Transducer Shield & Saver (Transducer Shield and Saver - See More Fish, Catch More Fish! while others have made their own or have just bolted them to an available screw hole of the jackplate itself.
