    Default Humminbird 768 problems....AGAIN

I bought a HB 768 FF/GPS combo in January of this year. By April it was in the shop for issues with the sonar. The graph still works great, but now the GPS is on the blitz. When I try to use the GPS features, it reads "No GPS Fix". System screen says the GPS is connected. Am I to assume it's a bad external receiver? Is there anything any of you know to try to reset the system to fix this issue, or am I doomed to box it up and send my 10 month old unit in for service for the second time in 6 months?

    SpeckWick,
There is no reset function that will make the GPS Receiver start working. It sounds like the GPS Receiver is communicating with the 768 unit but it is not finding the satellites so I think that the problem is in the GPS Receiver this time. I would try and test your 768 unit on someone else’s boat that has a Humminbird external GPS Receiver just to confirm that the problem is in the GPS Receiver before contacting Humminbird about it (1-800-633-1468).
