Yeah, Panman is right. Those wires may have been used for a 12/24 trolling motor at one time. It doesn't make sense to wire a boat that way for a straight 24V system as thats just unneccessary cost.

If the wire size of the individual circuits is big enough, I don't see any reason you couldn't abandon one circuit and just run a 24v circuit, or just double the wires and run 24v. I think they doubled these circuits to accomodate the old 12/24v trolling motors.

Also when I bought this boat it only had a 12v trolling motor on it and the only wires that were hooked to the battery were the red and black.
Disconnect the orange and white wires at both ends and tie them off out of the way. You do not need them. Now wire your batteries in series like I showed you and you are good to go.
