On the 898, is there a way to delete waypoints other than

one at a time ? I have a bunch of waypoints just because I took snapshots of items to get you guys to help me learn what I was looking at and now I dont want all the waypoints that are there.

I think on the main menu there is something that says delete all. on the 997 hit menu twice scrool over to charts then go down to waypoints.

couldnt find the waypoint delete but I did see a "delete all nav info",could this be what I am needing to do ?

Its under navigation BUT if you select it you will delete ALL your way points-in one Quick Second....... You either have to do it one at a time or ALL waypoints--No in between. Do you really want to wipe ALL the waypoints off your 898??????

jax, the main reason is that I have a bunch on there that are just pictures of stuff I was wanting someone to advise what they thought it was so that I could learn more of what I am looking at

maachu - Export your navigation data to your SD card. Upload the waypoints to the hummingbirdPC.... delete the waypoints you don't want. You can also rename your existing waypoints and add descriptions if you want.... Then you can delete all the navigational data on your 898. Then insert your SD card and upload the data you kept back to the 898.

I need to do this myself... Just haven't done it yet. I hit mark everytime I catch a fish and have points stacked up on points.. ha

I have a quick 898 question,once a waypoint is marked what's the best way to navigate back to it?we just got one and have been marking stuff with the cursor when using the si but haven't played around enough to figure out the best way to go back to it,give me a shortcut fellas and save me a headache.

Bugman.... Hit the "Go To" button on the 898... and then select the waypoint or waypoints that you want to go to.... Easy as pie!
