    Default HDS8 screen shots 7/10/2010

There are some interesting shots. I was using the Minn Kota US2 sonar transducer. The MK transducer is not the best for this particular HDS unit.
I have the Lowrance skate board transducer mounted on the trolling motor. I like. Work in progress.

This is a screen shot of a pvc tree that Chef set me 3-4 years ago?? Left picture is the down scan. You can see the "limbs" wit crud that has accumulated on it. The top right is the side image. I ran directly over the pvc tree and it split the image, however in the bottom right corner of the side image, you can see the shadow of the pvc tree. The bottom right image is the 2D image of the same pvc.

I am just a beginner with the HDS, but I have been doing imaging since the Apollo days.

This is one of my favorite catching places. I add to this brush pile every year. This is the front yard twigs dumping spot.

This is a pic of some bait fish. Lots of bait fish in West Sandy, but no good fish yet.

Like I said, I am just a beginner. I will git it sooner or later.

I ain't tried the GPS out yet.

Same big brush pile with my 997 2d.

The 2d of the Lowrance with the US2 transducer sucks.

These returns are good compared to your HB 997?

The biggest difference that I can tell (between the HB and LOW) is the down imaging.

I have not tried the Lowrance GPS out yet. I only have the internal receiver model of Lowrance GPS. We all know were I stand with the HB gps. I know I can depend on my Garmin.
