Is there anyway to show the information like speed, temp, voltage, lat/long, etc... on the bottom of my 898 screen or does it have to be on the right hand side of the screen? If able to put it on the bottom that would be a BIG help and save some screen space. Thanks,

On the 898 the only place you can have the readouts is on the left hand side of the display. Only the 1100 series and the 700 series has the readouts on the bottom of the display.

Oh okay.. Thanks for the info... Could this be upgraded with a future update???? Sure would be nice to have it at the bottom. Saves screen space... For instance.. If you are looking at sonar readings, you usually have some room under the bottom sonar return. Also, if you are watching side imaging... you always pay attention to the top of the screen the most... Just a thought.. Thanks so much! The 898 is great..

This has been a suggestion for the 997 units and now the 898/998 units. This can be done through software but so far it has not. I don’t know if they are considering it for the future or not but I do know that the Marketing and Engineering guys are aware that some of our Customers want this capability.

Thanks Greg.. I appreciate the heads up. Just thought it would be a great addition.... but I must say I am not complaining. The 898 as it is... is AMAZING!

I have a new 998. almost didn't buy it for that reason. already had a 797 si and the increase wasn't enough to consider the 800 series. Would really like it if they would do it on the bottom . that is the least used space on the unit.
