Is there one on the remote?!? Hadnt noticed it if it's there but there's one to tell you how much charge your trolling batt has. It's located on the base of the trolling motor.

It was on the card that shows all the functions. But it says remote battery low. Maybe it only comes on when the battery is almost dead. It shows it just under the gps signal guage

MIne shows it only when the motor is stowed and not deployed. I just bought 5 batteries off ebay for $15.50 shipped. They are the same brand that come in the remote from the factory. Be sure the battery you got at WalMart has an N at the end of the model number. If it don't it wont work.

ITS a eveready CR2450 SHOULD it be CR2450N Does it say that on the package or just on the battery? I didnt take out of package yet but there is no N. Just CR2450.

The remote say's cr2450 on the outside of the case but open it up and take a look. The battery that is inside is a cr2450n. It has a different shoulder on it than the cr2450. Way to go MinnKota, keep us all confused.. Go to Ebay and search cr2450n, they are lot's cheaper that Batteries Plus.

Here is the link, I was mistaken on the price. They were around $3.00 each but Batteries plus quoted me $6.25 each. 5 x New Sealed Renata 3V Lithium Battery CR2450N Swiss - eBay (item 270603194774 end time Aug-04-10 09:21:43 PDT)
