    Default question about LCX-19C

I have a Lowrance LCX-19C that I bought new several years ago and I have the GPS antenna which is WAAS-capable. I haven't used it much in the past couple of years. A fe months ago I took the boat out and I could NOT get WAAS on the unit. The estimated position error (epe) was alwas over 100 feet. Under normal conditions, the unit used to have an epe of about 10-14 feet. I did try to spray some cleaner on the connections, but that didn't seem to do much good. I also turned the machine on a couple of days later and the results were still the same. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Pete

Try doing a reset. Note that you will loose your waypoints with a hard reset so be sure to back them up. Lowrance Self-Service Support

I tried that. For some reason it seems that the unit will not get WAAS. The antenna is a remote antenna (LGC 12W). I can get an EPE of ~ 100 feet, but that is about all.

I would say the antenna is your most probable fault...

Lowrance will service the antenna. I will probably send it back. I WOULD send it back sooner, but oit will take 2-4 weeks.
