    Default Inside the LCX111cHD

    This unit control board is almost identical to the lcx26cHD. Same problem with obsolescence. What I am looking for is loose solder connections, especially around the larger components. As you see, the larger filter capacitors hve been glued to the pcb. What I am looking for is loose solder connections caused by vibration. A loose solder joint can kill the unit. If I spot one, I will resolder the connection and see if it fixes the problem. I removed the HDD so to check that the HDD wasn't loading the data buss. It wasn't the problem.

    I am still looking with my magnifier.

    Photo with red pointers on pcb is lcx26. Other is lcx111.
