    Default New Humminbird 788ci question

I want to set up my Humminbird for optimal performance as far as the settings go. What settings do I need to tweek on to get my unit to display good fish arches? I know either u or the fish have to be moving to draw an arch, but alot of times I don't really know if I am looking at fish or scattered bait that draws a similar line. Do the fish have color variation in the arch? Also, I would like to have the fish returns to be drawn out a little longer instead of little thick boomerangs, so to speak, if that is even fish at all. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. Thanx guys

To show the fish arches you will need to press the menu twice and go over to your Sonar menu. Then go down to the Beam Select and change it to 200/83khz. The reason being is that the 200khz is a narrow cone. The fish has to pass all the way threw the cone to get the fish arch. By making the cone angle wider using the 200/83 cone you will have a better chance with the fish traveling threw the cone angle.
