    Default Restoring lens on LCR

Looking for information to restore clearity of a LCR lens that turned "cloudy" from alot of sunlight. Can they be restored with a cleaning kit like the one used for car headlight lenses? If it make any difference the LCR is a Pinpoint.

Wipe it down with WD40 (an old Redneck trick)... you'll be surprised!

btw... I suggested WD40 because it works and duct tape won't in this circumstance!:p

I read somewhere that applying a small amount of Vaseline would help take out the scratches on a cell phone screen. May work in restoring a LCR Screen.

I would think that anything the average handyman would have around would end up putting swirl marks on it to the point that you'd wish you had the scratches back. If you try it, be prepared to toss the unit if it doesn't work out. Then again, it sure seems like it should be possible. Let us know how it goes and extra points for before and after pics.
