    Default Terrova mounting

My Terrova came in today, trying to do the install myself, not an expert at this. So, do any of you have any advice (hopefully with pictures)? It's going on a 2006 Bass Tracker 175 Pro Crappie. Thanks for any advice. I know that it has to hang off the bow at least 1" to properly deploy. That's just the shaft. The whole thing sticks out about 6".

Yes, they have to hang out a good bit the way they are made and the steering drive mechanism etc. billbob is right you want clearance on your shaft in the deployed position so that it will not rub or bind on anything during steering.

that is about right, if you dont get the little u shaped hole clear of the boat big trouble, mine is mounted on the left side as your sitting in the boat, been on there almost two years with no trouble or little trouble, used nylon nuts and loc tite on the bolts, havent had any come loose yet. good luck and enjoy.
