i had a 12/24v trolling motor on my boat a red wire went to each battery and went to a switch (run charge) at the front of the boat. to charge both batteries at the same time i could flip the switch to charge and put the battery charger on only one battery and it would charge both batteries. also on 24v it would move the boat a lot faster
