Lowrance HDS 5 Help

I need some help with my unit its only year and half old and when I plug it in it starts to boot up then goes to vertical and horizontal black lines I know my connections are good I plugged in my 522c and it works great.I hope some of the Lowrance reps will chime in.

Well I just got off the phone with Lowrance support and it looks like its dead there going to send me out a new unit. Thank goodness for 2 year warrenty bad news im lossing all my way points my fault for not backing up my files.I hope this is not an on going problem.

glad the warranty covered it. I never had waypoints before or eaven thought about backing them up , well till I found this site. verry good idea, I have them on sd card.

Ya I'm glad it covered it too and now I'm fishing a lake this weekend that i have never fished I hope my new used 522c works good.
