Default Minnkota Power Drive V2 foot pedal

I have a Power Drive V2 55 pound thrust TM with the foot pedal with the 18' cord. 2005 or 2006 model. My circuit board on the foot control has gone bad for the second time in 4 years. Is there anybody out there who has an old pedal to fit this motor that they aren't using, maybe off a TM they got tired of fixing or whatever? I'm not really wanting to buy a new one again if I can get a good used one cheap. As soon as I can come up with the money for a good cable steer this thing is gone, but for now I can't turn left, and I have to run in constant to move at all. I love the motor when it works, but I've been stuck in two heavy rains since I have had it, and both times the board went bad in the pedal. Shouldn't marine electronics hold up to water a little better than that?

I don't think the years you quoted are for a V2 motor. Earlier motors had flat plugs, V2 motors have round plugs, what's your's?

Throw the pedal away and get a copilot. I rarely ever even hook my pedal up to my motor anymore b/c the copilot will work without it.

I have the round plug. I may be mistaken on when I bought it. I thought it was 2006. Maybe it was 2007? Wow.....that makes it even worse. Two pedals in 3 years.

Secret to those power drive foot controls is keep em clean,if stepped in mud and sand during lanch and start using the foot pedal crud will get on the circuit board especially the speed rheostat and wear a hole in it.Before you put a foot on it wash the bottoms of you feetm off, and you can drop the foot pedal in the water to keep it clean.
