    Default broken transducer wire

I'm clumsy. Asking for opinions. Broke the wire to my transducer. Unit is Hummingbird 565 mounted to trolling motor. Since I'm replacing it, I was considering whether I should go with the puck rather than the original?
Any help or opinions would be welcomed.

    You can resolder the cable.

Too woried about the foil shield, noise and errant signals...much less waterproofing.

I would go with the trolling motor ‘puck’ style simply because they fit the trolling motor much better. Still you may want to consider some way of protecting the cable itself.
