997 woes....

Zoom out on maps shuts down unit when 500 ft range is selected. When i zoom out, it reloads and I loose all my personal settings. Put my unit on billbob's boat. Same result. I updated several 997's with the same sd card. My unit is the only one that is dicked up. Can't even verify how the donut does with the update. Yes, defaults were established before update.

This all started with the new undate. I ain't a happy hooker right now.

The only difference between mine and crappie hunters and billbobs is mine has NVB. Their's work fine.

I like the amber 2 colors....

what I presently have is a 2000 dollar 2d sonar.

First I would try reloading the software on the unit. You may have to can our customer service department and see if they can do anything for you. There number is 800-633-1468.

tried to reload about 4 times same thing we took card out of mine and put in his same thing ???????????? mine is ok his not

I was loading one for a friend and it did just what you are talking about. I got lucky and on a guess forced it to load the firmware again. It took longer than normal but when it completed it was fine.
Might want to give that a try.

How did you force to do something? Mine does what it wants. Nothing.

Sorry I forgot that part. I keep the old version in case I do not like the new. I reloaded the old then the new again.
