    Default trolling motor


    my motor guide trolling motor is only running on one speed.. is there any way to fix this ?? and sometimes when i try to turn it off it stays on when i accidentially hit the pedal ,then the blades hit the bow when ever it is in the stow position..thanks

    I had one doing a similar thing...would only run on high bypass. I bought new switches and that didn't solve the problem, so after more investigation I found one of the armature wires had shorted against gnd in the motor. I rewired armature and all is well. Having said that, I have a new vairable switch and momentary /highbypass switch for sale on the swap meet. If you nedd either of these let me know, I'm just trying to recoupe some money.
