Hey Guys,
So for my trolling motor, I have 2 210 amp hour batteries. My Schumacher charger is going into an overheat protection mode when its charging @12 amps for just a minute or two, so its time to get a new one.....
So my question stems from Minn Kota's specs on their chargers. According to their site/manual, their chargers are only rated for a 50-130 amp hour rating. So what is this all about? Do they specify those ratings for some eletrical reason, or is this just so that they meet the times to recharge that they publish??
If there is some reason other than time to charge, is there another onboard charger that is good w\ big batts?
Edit: actually, I misread...its a group 29 battery from interstate, so i think thats 105 ah....so guess i don't need help afterall!![]()

One of my first purchases when I bought my boat in 05 was a Dual Pro 2 bank charger. Batteries still going strong and its one thing I dont give much thought as it always does its job.
