I may be wrong, but I dont think that is your problem.I think the motor is designed to be run in forward position and the motor head goes through the water before the prop does and that is correct.My motorguide if left on a high speed will spin one way or the other. I think it has more to do with the high torque created by the 3 blades and the weight of my boat is heavy and so its strained some.Have seen some guys make angled blocks for the pedal to keep it forward.I liked what someone said on the other thread about the pipe clamps.I think I will try that on mine.Sometimes I want to set forward at a slow speed and walk around the boat.As of now, I cant do that much without it easing around as I tilt the boat walking in it.
