Trollling motor and batteries

I run a 12 volt motor,can I wire 2 batteries in sequence to get longer trolling time,the battery I have is good,only about 4 months old.Thanks

You can hook the parallel not in series.parallel is positive to positive ground to ground. I think there is another thread on this subject if you will search on here.

Been running two batts like that for a couple years now without any problems. Just connect positive to positve, negative to negative. I also charge them while hooked together with no problems. I just hook the charger to one battery and they both charge at the same time on 10 amps.
