    Default HB 565 transducer repair


    Can these be repair. Will fishing today my dad hit a stump because of the wind and cut the cable. This was the second time I had used it on the water. Just my luck get a new fish finder and it get damaged. Any help will be appreciated.

    I spliced one on a Wide 128. Two wires twisted together and soldered, heat shrink. Shield/bare soldered. Heat shrink over all.

    The 565’s transducer should have an additional wire or two in it but yes it can be fixed and if done properly you will never know that it had been damaged. Solder heat shrink and seal as Talltimber posted. Be sure to replace the noise shielding correctly too.
